Tonight Lisa from dVerse Poets Pub is leaping forth poetically in anticipation of this year’s Leap Day when the heart and voice of an amorous woman might turn boldly to their quarry.
The advances and retreating of the tide’s waving (or drowning) occupy many a tearful tempestuous torrent for me currently. Yesterday as the reverberations of my drum faded I penned – in red ink – these lines:
Leaping wolf eggs
In the nick of time
I sent the white wolf
back to his own leap-land
though longed to run my fingers
between his alert ears,
cradling the egg of his cranium
soothing and regulating
your inner children
with voice and lullaby
and together greeting
the western lands
where Amitabha sits
holding in spacious hands
the egg of the universe

The egg of the wolf’s cranium is as one with Amitabha’s. Mystical writing that seems like it was channeled to you?

Aaah Lisa, you see me, as through a glass darkly. And more. Thank you, companion on the Great Way

I love when poetry challenges me with words / names unfamiliar … infinite light, eternal life … what Amitabha represents is beautiful indeed.

Thank you Dwight. White Wolf often has been my safe and respectful companion animal on shamanic drum journeys.
